Previewing the excitement to come in the fall, Cosmo TV ran a television spot showing off the busy streets of a metropolitan, as well as the perfect rockstar outfit – jeans and sunglasses paired with a JUZD Original shirt!

Sponsored by YouTube, Nikon, Pantene, and CoverGirl, Cosmopolitan StarLaunch™ was a great hit with over 500 online submissions. Among these great submissions was Mieka Pauley who won a $10 000 cash prize, a three-track demo, and a chance to open at an NYC concert headlined by Natasha Bedingfield!

On Thursday March 12th 2009 Chris Bosh was on CTV News at 6, a celebrity fill in for the retiring Dave Devall. On the show Chris did the weather and gave out the JUZD Big 25 shirt which is a ticket into his private birthday party on Sunday March 22 2009.

Forecasting Toronto as having awesome fashion sense for the next year, Nalini Sharma shows off her JUZD shirt.

Sharma, a Ryerson alumnus, is known for her frequent appearances on CityNews at 6, CityNews Tonight, Toronto International Film Festivals‘ 2008 feature: Red Carpet Tonight, as well as on CP24.

Exclusive online dating service, BeautifulPeople.Net, is available in over 16 countries. Picked up for a television show by the Slice Network, “Beautiful People” follows Greg Hodge and Robert Hintze as they launch BeautifulPeople.Net in Canada.

In an episode aired this past fall, lead designer of JUZD, Jing Liu, pitches his shirts to Greg and Rob, who both loved the feel of the bamboo fabric as well as the designs on the shirts.

Blackcowboy have won quite a bit of awards since and made many top song and band lists. JUZD wants to congratulate them and thank them for wearing our shirt on on their live performance on MTV, see photo above. Couple of guys also wore the JUZD shirts on their MTV UK appearance. The popularity of the Beautiful People networking website has led to a reality show on the Slice Network where Jing, JUZD’s lead designer guest starred. Check out the show in the fall on the Slice Network to see what Jing was up to!

Probably the most controversial online dating/networking website on the market today, Beautiful People is Canada’s first website where the nation’s most beautiful people can be found.  Its founder, Robert Hintz, originated this new cyber world in Denmark in 2002 and has been publicly criticized for its (too) honest message/member process.

Some say it’s shallow but Greg Hodge, managing director of Beautiful People calls it “honest”. Does this website encourage online bullying or further place emphasis and pressure on both men and women to look like today’s Hollywood A-Lister’s? Does this website truly reflect today’s society and social pressures that we all face on a day-to-day basis? Definitely debatable!

I met with Nalini Sharma the weathergirl for CityTV (CityNews) yesterday. Just in February she was hounoured with the Anokhi Magazine’s Most Successful TV Personality in Toronto award. But she have also won many not so formal awards such as the News Hottie of the Week award, she won this twice within 6 months!

A friend of mine who works at CityTV showed her the JUZD designs and she loved it. So I came by CityTv building to give her a shirt. Nalini loves it so much she wants to wear it on air! So keep on watching CityTv weather.

In the spirit of the L’oreal Toronto fashion week Jing Liu our lead designer for JUZD Bamboo Streetwear was interviewed by Theresa Laurico of the new show Asian Inspiration. This fresh new show on Rogers TV airs this week 6:30 PM Thursday for people in Toronto. Times differ based on your region. The JUZD episode will air week of April 6th. The episode will feature two great Asian designers from Toronto, Andy the Anh and our very own Jing Liu.

While Theresa and the Rogers crew was impressed with the beautiful packaging, the talk of the night was the bamboo fabric. “..you have to feel this, this is so comfortable!” commented by our beautiful model Donna Milburnent.
